Shipping, Delivery & Damage Claims
Delivery area
Our standard online sales and delivery service is intended for addresses within the United States. Requests for delivery outside the United States are handled individually through office@totuartp2.com. An international inquiry is not an order until availability, transport, insurance, duties, taxes and payment terms are confirmed in writing.
Processing and preparation
Original artworks may require specialist packing, custom crating, collection from an artist or studio, condition documentation and coordination with an art carrier. Preparation and shipping times depend on the artwork’s physical location, dimensions, condition and handling requirements. The applicable estimated dispatch and delivery window will be confirmed for the specific artwork before the collector completes the purchase. Any estimate is not a guaranteed delivery date unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Our business and mailing address is not necessarily the dispatch, fulfillment or return location. Artworks may be shipped from the United States, Europe, an artist’s studio, storage facility or authorized logistics partner. Do not send or return an artwork to our business address unless we have provided written authorization and the correct shipping instructions.
Shipping quotations
Shipping may be included in the displayed price, calculated at checkout or quoted separately depending on the artwork. Oversized, fragile, high-value or site-specific works may require a custom quotation and specialist transport. We will disclose the applicable charge before the collector is asked to complete the purchase.
Delivery and inspection
The collector is responsible for providing a complete and accessible delivery address, accurate contact information and any relevant building, elevator, loading or access restrictions. Unless installation is expressly included in writing, delivery does not include unpacking, hanging, installation, structural assessment or disposal of packing materials.
The collector or an authorized adult must inspect the shipment promptly. If the exterior packaging appears damaged, note this with the carrier before accepting the delivery whenever possible.
Damage claims
Report loss, visible damage or suspected concealed damage to office@totuartp2.com within 48 hours of delivery. Include:
- the order or invoice number;
- photographs of every side of the outer packaging;
- photographs of the inner packaging and protective materials;
- photographs of shipping labels and any visible impact;
- full and detailed photographs of the artwork and the affected area;
- a description of what was observed at delivery.
Do not discard, alter or repair the packaging or artwork. Keep all materials for at least 30 days or until we confirm in writing that they may be discarded. Failure to document the condition or retain the packaging may prevent the carrier or insurer from accepting a claim.
We will coordinate the review with the artist, carrier, insurer or conservator as appropriate. Possible outcomes include conservation, repair, replacement where available, partial refund or refund. No remedy is confirmed until the claim has been reviewed.
Risk and title
Risk of loss transfers as provided by applicable law and the delivery terms confirmed for the order. Ownership transfers only after cleared payment has been received in full. Any different allocation of risk must be confirmed in writing.
International shipments
International collectors are responsible for providing accurate importer information and, unless otherwise agreed in writing, for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage, storage and local clearance charges. Export permits, cultural-property restrictions or carrier limitations may delay or prevent shipment. We may decline a destination or cancel and refund an order if lawful and insured delivery cannot be arranged.
Delays
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, carrier disruption, weather, natural events, security restrictions, inaccurate delivery information or circumstances beyond reasonable control. If a material delay becomes known, we will contact the collector and provide an updated estimate or available options.
